Promoting Healthy Living For Our Dancers
As a dancer, it’s important to maintain a healthy lifestyle. One of the most important aspects of health for a dancer is diet. Proper fuel for the body is extremely important in order to maintain proper energy levels, avoid injury, and stay well during competition season so that personal performance will not suffer.
Julie Dickens, our Studio Director, is also involved in JuicePlus+, a whole-food-based nutrition company that strives to bridge the gap between what you should eat and what you do eat every day. They offer a program for families to engage in a healthier lifestyle that involves achieving a more well-rounded diet through their supplements. This is a program that we strongly recommend for our dancers and their families.
Healthy Starts for Families
Juice Plus+ designed this wellness initiative to inspire healthy living at home and empower families to make simple, but meaningful, lifestyle changes that will propel them forward on their journey to better health. Throughout the program JuicePlus provide support, recipes, content and tips to help you focus on four core pillars of wellness: fitness, nutrition, hydration, and sleep. Currently the program is offered for free for children ages 4 and up with an adult purcase.
